Fairly Made®️ and Tara Jarmon have set up a collaboration shaped by the desire to better understand its supply chain and its involvement. The aim? To promote traceability and precise assessment of environmental impacts. Let's dive into the story of this adventure in the name of transparency!

Needs

To strengthen its social and environmental responsibility, Tara Jarmon needed to gain a deeper understanding of its supplier base, in order to establish a production chain that was involved and as certified as possible. Traceability was at the heart of its considerations, as was impact measurement to assess the performance of its products. Another important factor for the brand was the need to meet current and future legal requirements, notably the AGEC law and environmental labeling in France.

Solution

Thanks to in-depth research by our specialists, we were able to carry out a mapping of the brand's supplier base. To calculate impacts, we highlighted three key indicators for an initial understanding of the LCA: CO2 emissions, freshwater eutrophication and use of non-renewable energy. These elements have provided Tara Jarmon with a reading key to prepare for environmental labelling, planned in France for 2024.

Benefits

The collaboration has led to tangible results that reflect the brand's ambitions. Firstly, AGEC-compliant product sheets have been developed, enabling Tara Jarmon to communicate transparently with its customers about the environmental impact of its items. Improved knowledge of suppliers has also enabled Tara Jarmon to make more informed decisions, reinforcing its responsible approach.

Increased knowledge of suppliers :

- Autumn-Winter 2023: x2.5

- Spring-Summer 2024: x3.2
