Challenges

For nearly 40 years, Maison Bompard has placed craftsmanship at the heart of its collections. Its exceptional cashmere is built on precious fibers and long-standing partnerships with committed suppliers. In a context of increasing regulation (AGEC, CSRD) and a strong will to go further in transparency and sustainability, the brand wanted to strengthen the traceability of its products, better qualify its suppliers, and rely on concrete environmental impact indicators.

Objectives:

– Map the entire supply chain
– Highlight existing certifications
– Integrate impact data to guide the ecodesign of future collections

Solution

  1. Comprehensive value chain mapping
Thanks to the Fairly Made platform, Bompard has been able to map its entire production chain (from goat to boutique) covering more than 1,450 products. This enhanced transparency made it possible to identify and thoroughly qualify suppliers, their locations, and their roles in manufacturing.

  2. Strengthening certifications
Fairly Made centralized and verified certificates provided by the brand’s partners. Today, 41 certifications have been collected, reinforcing Bompard’s authenticity in sustainability, already recognized for key certifications such as OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN and GCS (Good Cashmere Standard).

  3. Impact measurement to guide ecodesign
Each analyzed product now benefits from an impact sheet based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This data, integrated into the platform, serves as a strategic steering tool to orient future collections towards lower impact, particularly in terms of CO₂, water consumption, and transportation.

Key KPIs:

– 1,454 products analyzed
– 100% of traced products equipped with QR codes
– 3.28x increase in the number of known suppliers
– 41 certifications collected from partners

Benefits

  1. Enhanced traceability to meet regulatory requirements
This initiative ensures Bompard’s compliance with regulations such as the AGEC law and prepares the publication of its first CSR report, supported by consolidated and concrete data.

  2. Data-driven CSR management
The collected data now allows the brand to adapt its sourcing decisions and design more sustainable products, aligned with customer expectations and environmental challenges.

  3. An enriched customer experience through product transparency
Thanks to QR codes available on all analyzed products, customers can access clear, detailed, and verified information on product traceability and impact, strengthening their trust in the brand.

This structured approach, built with Fairly Made, marks a new milestone for Bompard: no longer limited to ensuring the quality and traceability of its pieces, the brand is now engaging all teams in a data-driven ecodesign journey while reinforcing supplier risk management. This methodological foundation lays the groundwork for stronger governance between CSR and production, essential to tackle upcoming environmental challenges.
